Relaxation is a time where you are mentally and physically at rest. You are able to breath and release any stress or tension allowing for your body and mind to recover. This is especially important for your well-being.
There is a warm sense of ease and comfort. Your muscles release tension, your mind is quiet allowing for a flow of peaceful thoughts and time slows down. Everything feels okay when you are relaxed.
Relaxation has many physical and mental benefits. It lowers your heart rate and improves your concentration in everyday life. Along with this, it strengthens your relationships with others, improves sleep quality, and increases your resilience to stress.
Find joy in the simple things around you. Take deep breaths and recognise the moment you are in right now. Do activities that clear your mind from stress and anxiety. For example, doing something physical with my hands (drawing, crafting) helps me to focus on the present.
